About Get Mover Pros

Get Mover Pros is an independent directory for local moves. When a household in one of the cities we serve is moving within the metro area, we connect them with one independent local moving company that serves that area.

Why we focus on planning

Most moving-day problems are planning problems: an estimate given without a walk-through, an elevator nobody reserved, a sofa that doesn't fit the stairwell, a house that isn't packed when the crew arrives. They're easy to prevent and expensive to fix on the day. Our articles spend most of their words on preparation on purpose.

What we do

  • We publish plain explanations of home and apartment moves, packing and heavy items.
  • We write city pages about how local weather and conditions affect a moving day, and we link every specific fact to the official source we took it from.
  • When you ask for a callback, we pass your request to one independent local moving company serving your area, who contacts you directly.

What we don't do

  • We don't move anything, and we don't employ the movers you reach.
  • We don't evaluate or verify permits, registrations or coverage for belongings.
  • We don't cover long-distance or interstate moves.
  • We don't publish star ratings, reviews or testimonials, and we don't invent them.
  • We don't sell your personal information.

How to use this site

Read the guides, then talk to the mover. Ask for a walk-through and a written estimate, ask how the price is calculated, and ask, in writing, what the mover is responsible for if something is damaged. If anything on this site looks wrong or out of date, tell us through the contact page and we'll fix it.

Talk to a local mover

Tell us where you're moving from and when. We pass your request to one independent local moving company serving your area, who contacts you directly to look at what's moving and give you a written estimate.

Direct phone dispatch opens as regional coverage schedules activate.
